A Lady made Extra Ordinary by the steadfast love of Christ Jesus. Ada Ogochukwu Ehi popularly known as Ada is a Nigerian/International multiple award-winning Christian, singer, songwriter, recording and performing artist who by the influence of the Holy Spirit authored songs like, Only You Jesus, Jesus (You Are Able), I Testify, Cheta... and many other global praise and worship anthems.

Born in Lagos Nigeria on September 18, 1983 to Victor and Mabel Ndukauba, she was introduced to music as a little child by her parents who employed private tutors to provide music lessons. Her parents encouraged all their children to join the vibrant children’s choir in the local church where they became active members. It was at the children’s choir that she was discovered by the management company of a popular child star Tosin Jegede and was later recruited as a backing vocalist and dancer. This offered her the opportunity to travel around the country from the age of 10 as she performed on some of its most prestigious platforms along with some of the biggest names in the music industry. This exposure turned out to be a vital piece of her development as a touring and recording artist.

She would later attend the Lagos State University where she studied Chemical and Polymer Engineering. Ada’s passion for music never dwindled. In 2008, she was signed to LoveWorld Records where she released her debut album UNDENIED, a pop rock album that spawned her onto the music scene. Her eclectic pop sound was a breath of fresh air.  

In 2013 she followed up with the experimental sophomore double-disc album Lifted and So Fly which featured the hit song Bobo Me. By this time her songwriting brilliance, versatility and uniqueness were very evident and reaffirmed.

In 2017, her musical philosophy and grit would be established with the release of her third studio album Future Now. This album became an international chart-topper with critically and commercially acclaimed success, claiming the Number 1 spot on iTunes Nigeria and several other African countries within the first few hours of its release. It featured hit singles like Only You Jesus, Jesus (You Are Able), I Testify, Cheta and I Overcame. Ada was awarded Songwriter of the Year 2016 and Artist of the Year 2017 at the LIMA Awards, and West African Artist of the Year at the 2017 Safaricom Groove Awards (Kenya). She was also included as  one of the 100 most influential Christians in Nigeria in 2017 by and Church Culture. In her unrelenting style, Ada released several riveting music videos which artistically conveyed the message in her music with imagination and style.  

The Future Now album’s global success led Ada to tour Africa, Europe, and North America as she headlined the sold-out Ada Live in the Future Now Concert series. This tour connected her with an increasing international fanbase. The experience would establish Ada as an internationally sought after Christian performer.

Ada is set to release a series of EPs in 2019. The first installment Ada’s EP (vol. 1) is set to be released on the 26th of April on all digital stores and available with physical music distributors globally. The 5-track EP promises the quintessential sounds of Ada and a couple traditional gospel tracks. It features a compelling celestial trumpet delivery from the internationally acclaimed Christian Singer and Trumpeter Nathaniel Bassey on the opening track. Ada’s EP will be released by the FreeNation INC label.
